The ever returning charm of those fragrant flowers, juicy fruits and aromatic spices

Once again I was intrigued by the lush green paddy fields planted in June flourishing and beckoning me back to my childhood. The fresh smell of the forest flowers lurked in all the corners. It held us in its wild grip mercilessly.The scene I was watching was through the train window of the August monsoon special train moving towards the land of Spices - Malabar.

The rains were losing their grip on the hilly Western ghats.The Pala flowers were once again spreading their captivating essence that created thoughts of kingdoms bygone and wars lost.The coconut trees swayed in the refreshing evening breeze and something was churning in my mind. I realized I was already asleep as though in a spell from the past. The photographs in my family album were floating suddenly in my post monsoon evening dream.

I slept enraptured by those colorful and perfumed visions running back and forth in my mind. How wonderful everything was? Now, I was no longer in that train - I was drifting like a leaf floating over a silver stream of various fragrances.

My aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, brother and I visited our family home in Cannanore, Kerala every year. It was indeed  the land of tales and pineapples, jack fruits, mangoes, home made jams, jackfruit paysams or desserts and the sweetest jaggery flavored fried appams. It was a riot of color, meeting loving relatives, hide and seek games and re-enacting of 'Famous Five mystery events. And of course the fabulous scents were driving us crazy that forced us to run into a chain of un-controlled eating and dreaming.

I was in the morning - a wide 70 mm 'Kannur' veranda scene. The mild streaks of cloudy comforting light escaping the window curtains had nudged us away from our slumber. It invited us into the soft scents from the wild yellow flowers of the weeds from the family lands wooden walls made of cashew nut trees.The red cashew nut fruits looked like small glowing torches of friendly gnomes that walked back to their tree homes.

Even the most neglected plant bloomed and spread joy. Bees buzzed busily trying to visit every roses they could find. One baby bee was so overwhelmed by the intoxicating rose that it slept cozily within its stamens. The mornings were double special because the coconut trees were being harvested for their coconuts. At the end of the picking all the family members including the tree harvesting helpers sat down within the gardens enclosure. We were now busy drinking tender coconut water or 'illaneer.' Soon the golden dawn grew into a warmer red afternoon.

The pet dog Bulfy was running all round the spice trees of cinnamon and cloves. The drumstick flowers lending their afternoon 'Sambar' aromas. The fresh scent of the lemon leaves in the buttermilk.The milangi or henna leaves planted all around the garden created a dark green living wall, perhaps protecting our precious fairy tales.The pepper vines out grew their host trees and were trying to hug the skies with all their wild green love. Everything was now here - the old humble home of love and unconditional nurturing.

Evenings were always a grand love affair. The Paarijaath flowers with white petals and orange stalks covered the entire ground with a lace from heaven. 'Paradise on earth' was what we called the family homes' garden.The roses never failed to entice each person passing by the flower garden. Colorful petunias and fiery Thunder lilies bloomed even in the rains.The guavas hung for easy picking and the rose apples or jaambakkas as we called them looked like floating red chandeliers in the bright blue sky.

The rich scent of the Jasmines and Edwards Roses from it's branches grew wild in a garden made of dreams and pixies. My grandmother worked hard on the garden of my childhood, back in the bright and merry eighties. All my cousins and I were busy playing 'cludo' when suddenly a lemony fresh scent mesmerized us from our favorite lemon butter cake which was also being baked in the cooker. With the lemon zest and lemon leaves painting a myriad dream into the soft spongy cake. It was a complete surprise but we all helped ourselves with absolutely no guilt to our hearts limits.

Night was near and so was dinner. 'One bay leaf my child,' my grandmother smiled to me. I was more than happy to help and so ran back to the garden to pick the best bay leaves from the spice pots filled with bay leaves, curry leaves, cilantro plants and dark mints. Whenever I saw the spice pots I felt the strong love my grandmother had for cooking. We turned our heads for a deep breadth from the air surrounding us. The cardamom pods and cinnamon bark in our family home kitchen lent all its flavors to the Malabar 'biriyani' which was being cooked on low flame. We did not have the power to wait long for anyone to join us for dinner.

 The day was closing finally when we kids sneaked into the store room and dipped large spoons into the warm bottles of freshly made jackfruit jam called 'Chakka Varatti' which was taken as a dessert. After all the filling and tasting soon all were fast asleep in warm beds, dreaming heavily about all the enticing fragrances that promptly brought us back to this aromatic heaven every year.

'Pazham Pori' the white turbaned man walking next to the train window cried out waking me up from my childhood. Happily I offered him money and bit easily into the soft fried bananas and melted sugar flavor. The natural vanila in it made me look up to the skies. It was always the same - a jolly good ride back to the cradle of spices, the sweet smelling fruits and the most adorably scented flowers.'Oh! I love this fragrance,' was all I could say.

My whole day shines due to my Able Slender Ultra Stylish and Ultra Mobile friend

I wake up in the morning listening to classic music from the ultramobile Asus T100. Followed by my yoga, breakfast and the green tea.

Then when I shower I listen to pop music from the ultramobile as the day breaks and makes me want to believe that I shall win this day too with my ASUS T100.

I dress up and hop on to the car and plan my work for the day ahead all on my ASUS that runs on Windows 8.1!

Then I reach my work place and start madly typing at the 19mm keyboard to complete my tasks of writing technology posts on time with the soft buttons.

ABLE -

After that I discuss all my posts to my boss who seems pretty happy with all the speedy and efficient work from the 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 CPU.

Super fast laptop tablet convertible ASUS makes everyones heavy laptops dead slow at work place. My boss keeps thinking how on earth I keep carrying all the files easily thanks to the 32 GB ram of the ASUS.

I use the net and transfer files effortlessly using the 4.0 bluetooth. Everything in my ASUS is like a sweet day dream.

I have my lunch at the local restaurant listening to my mid day music on the ASUS and taking pictures of my friend on the 1.2 mega pixel camera.

Further in the afternoon I finish my pending posts and transfer files to my colleagues PC through the 3.0 USB port.

ULTRA STYLISH -

Soon by 6 pm I finish my work and get out of my work place with the 10 inch ASUS tablet on my shoulder.
Laptop in the day tablet by night.

Then I play my favorite music on the ASUS tablet as I keep traveling back home with a peaceful evening mind.

SLENDER -

I click some more pictures of the evening scenes.

I browse my favorite websites and reply to all my days mail back at home. Not to forget to play all my favorite games with the  help of the intel Gen7 graphics in the ASUS laptop.

Finally I put on the music and listen to some meditative music to feel content about the whole days journey with the ASUS T100.

I snuggle with the sleek and stylish ASUS with the soft touch rubber cover warmly by my side.

I spent only rupees 32999 to find this kind of peace to find a friend who never leaves me alone or sad.

I sleep in absolute bliss with no care or fear. My friend my ASUS T100 sleeping right beside me makes my world more interesting!

sudden view from a time machine

According to the great Scientist Mr.Stephen Hawking, logically we humans cannot travel back in time ,because it would kill the time machine or the time portal by radiation from the past sitting between length breadth and height and the third dimension time.

But I want to be positive here and want to believe we can at least watch what happened before us through a crystal ball or a television screen .

Imagine the view......"A lonely traveler dressed in white robes jumps off from a weary horse back ,and walks through the narrow path of stairs to meet the eyes he trusted so much."

We see "The huge yellow lamps burning furiously to show him the way up."

Then here "The cracked rock walls cry out the pain of its wars and loves ."

The Mourning Maids  signal dark hours to come.

There is no welcome but faces bowed down and tears flowing effortlessly in bright young faces.

And the weary traveler dusts off the crimson dirt from his robes before entering the huge chamber of the queen.

A princess lies in her bed with green lamps burning around it.

The maid is anointing balm on the princesses feet and one decorated the most prettiest and deep fragrant  Rajini Gandhas on the black clouds like hair.

"You have been late" cries the queen from the room adjacent .

"She waited a thousand nights to get a glimpse of you ."

"Oh my god!" cries the traveler with his beating heart and begs the princess to wake up .

But there she lay with no expression and the traveler kissed the cold eyes of the beauty.

What secrets lies back in time ?What was it like to be in past?Why did the traveler come back?What made him so late?

And the traveler walks back slowly through the steps carrying his sleeping princess in his arms and promises the queen that he will get the princesses health back.

The drums beat and the guards  close the giant gates and the black war horse gallops with the traveler and the princess .

I am hoping the princess recovers because I love sweet endings.

Take You to the Mauve HAVEN

Before reading a small prelude to this post.Why I thought songs can lift us to another realm of pure magic .

When I went scared and sat on my Grandfather's lap for escaping my child blues Grandfather (Miss him :( our own papa jack ) used to sing a golden olden song in a deep but clear and smooth baritone(all our grandfathers SONG)which went like   ~~~~~~And you row >>>>>>>>>>merrily merrily & >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>merrily merrily life is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>but a >>>>>>>>>>>>> dream.~~~~~~~"

So.......?

Dearest mates pals friends chums buddies babans & babas lets Go!

Where the music never stops at the pinkish purplish places.

~~~~~~Fantasy is a dream of thoughts with wide open eyes ,when we think about blissful times in babyish but glorious  sunny and colorful  in days and wintery snow flakes shimmering and falling on our windows in nights ,rowing on the "me" river with moon beams glistening and enticing the darkish waters ,with an angel with mermaid like deep set wide eyes staring with feverish love and innocence and speaks French.~~~~~~
I believe Fantasies have the power to clean our cluttered  brains and remove its clay particles and we be free from the black heads inside our brains.
Our haven our home inside our nubile brain.
Lets go!~~~~~~~~~~Sailing with the night trip ticket to the Mauve Haven in ur room.
I am taking you to that Mauve lights where you listen to your green day , rock or pop or ghazal or carnatic music or your coke studio music from Sampath or any of YouR favourite DJ.
The wide calm utopian space of less
My friends do you know how much times I have longed for the less?
Less to me is everything !
I want the little life of a fisherman with his little wife and little kid .
Back in the last bench ,of a thatched roof , criss-cross bamboo walled , first grade classroom , a child listening wide eyed to my crisp cotton ironed sareed Mrs.Vimala Robert , describing a cute tale of fishermen and the waiting wives with fish in baskets and conch shell playing kids in bright happy colored dress .
I long for the sea and the boat and the oar and the energetic "Eyelasa" when the boat is pushed towards the gigantic waves with ease and merry.
But here we are with so much sounds ,so much sex ,so much food , so much clothes ,so much money .Where is "LESS"?
Less my needs .Less  from distraction ,less  from jealousy ,less  from  enemy ,less  from more.
Why is "more " eating our lives?
Close your eyes imagine you are in Utopian sands caressing your worn-out-from-pedicure toes, feel the sea breeze nourishing and giving love to your soul and allowing dreams to be possible since less dreams allow better dreams.
Cry out to your friends and sail the seas on an old yatch  discover new lands and collect the little cheap stones on the shore .
When are we going to appreciate the less?
Less is good and un-complicated .
The clean wide sea calling you in a deep voice and telling you life is great life is merry life is super!
Don't give up my friend never ,less will come ,dream on,wait and hope on!
